Greetings from the whole Midtown Dental crew:
We hope that this letter finds you happy, well, and in a good place. With the rapidly developing COVID-19 healthcare situation, here locally and globally, we wanted to reach out and let you know what to expect from Midtown Dental. If you have known us long enough, you know that we hate surprising our patients, and are always very transparent. So please, read on.
First, we have always exceeded CDC, ADA and OSHA requirements for infection control, sterilization and sanitation. This continues today, and we are following every guideline put forth by the CDC, ADA and WHO, along with guidance from local, U.S. government and public health agencies. We are closely monitoring these recommendations daily, and taking every appropriate step as needed.
In working with the Washoe County Health District, the CDC and the ADA, we are going to reschedule all cleaning/dental hygiene appointments for the next two weeks-until April 6th.
We will, however, still be available for dental work and dental emergencies that need to be seen and treated. If you have a pending appointment for any dental work, we are evaluating on a case-by-case basis. We will be in contact! If you have dental pain, infection or discomfort, we are, and will continue to be, available. Just give us a call and we’ll get you taken care of.
We are asking you not to bring anyone with you to your appointment, unless needed for transportation or translation.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call. And, please practice an abundance of safety during this crisis; we will too.
For the time being, we are open during our typical business hours, however, if this changes you will be notified. And, you will always be able to reach Dr. Brooks for any dental emergency through our emergency line at 775-322-0455. Simply call and opt for the emergency line when directed, which forwards you directly to Dr. Brooks’ cell phone.
Thank you, and be well!
Dr Brooks and the entire Midtown Dental crew
